Internationally-recognised, accredited Business School:
- QUT’s Faculty of Business has joined a select group of international business schools, having secured AMBA accreditation for our MBA programs and EQUIS and AACSB international accreditation for all Business courses. We are the first business school in Australia to achieve this prestigious ‘triple crown’. Fewer than 30 schools internationally hold all three accreditations.
- Only Queensland MBA program (and one of only 3 Australian programs) to have ever been listed in the FT Top 100 rankings (in 2004 at no. 82).
- Ranked as a top tier Australian MBA program by Australian Financial Review BOSS magazine in 2005/06.
- The Faculty of Business is one of the largest and most respected business faculties in Australia, with over 7,200 students enrolled each semester.
- We also attract over 1200 of international students from more than 50 countries.
Leaders in Research
- QUT is experiencing significant growth in research capacity and our research income is increasing at double the rate of the Australian sector average.
- QUT ranks in the top ten Australian universities for publications, with some 100 collaborative research projects underway in more than 50 countries.
- Over the past five years, QUT’s Faculty of Business has performed strongly in national competitive grants awarded by the Australian Research Council (ARC). In 2006, the Faculty was placed first in the Business and Management category for all forms of ARC Grants and fourth in Econometrics.
Other achievements include:
- QUT’s MBA was the first Queensland MBA to be ranked in the Financial Times Global Top 100 programs in 2004, one of only three in Australia to make the list.
- In 2005, it was ranked as a top tier Australian MBA program by AFR BOSS magazine; and more recently ranked 6th in Australia in 2007.
- The Graduate Management Association of Australia Inc (GMAA) rated the QUT MBA as one of Australia's 5 star programs for the 4 consecutive years (2002-2005).
- In the inaugural MBA rankings published in Expansion Magazine Mexico, QUT's MBA ranked equal 46th globally.
- Asia-Inc magazine, in their annual 2004 rankings of Asia-Pacific MBA programs, rated QUT’s MBA program in the top 4 in Australia, and in 2001 it ranked our MBA third in Australia (10th in Asia) for Student Quality.
- Asiaweek magazine in May 2000, ranked BGSB fourth in Australia and 17th in Asia for our full-time MBA.
