The conference
invites the participation of all delegates with an interest in
research and teaching in the varying disciplines of communication,
and the conference theme, Designing Communication for Diversity,
encourages delegates to consider the issues with technological
and content convergence in communication industries and to consider
the need for diversity of content, ownership, culture, vehicles
and responses to ideas.
There will
be refereed and non-refereed divisions for papers at this conference,
and panel sessions are encouraged on issues for teachers and students
of communication studies. Abstracts for refereed and non-refereed
papers are due on 13 December 2002, and full papers for the refereed
division will be due on 14 March 2003.
We are now
calling for papers, and we recommend that
all submissions be sent electronically. All refereed papers will
be subject to double-blind, peer review, and all papers accepted
for presentation following this competitive process will be published
in the Conference Proceedings, published at this website. This
procedure is designed to satisfy the conditions required by the
Australian Governments Department of Education, Science
and Training (DEST) for the recognition of the papers in the Proceedings
as Category E, Conference Publications: E1 Full Written
Paper Refereed.
This website

Organiser, Caroline Hatcher,
