The BGSB reinforces the international focus of its courses with the opportunity for students to study overseas. This allows students to gain valuable knowledge about both business and social aspects of their host country. Additionally, they become aware of cultural differences, and learn important cross-cultural communication skills.

What is the QUT Exchange Program?

The QUT Student Exchange Program offers students the opportunity to study one or two semesters at an overseas university as part of their QUT degree. In simple terms, an exchange program is when two universities sign an agreement stating they would like to form a cooperative relationship which enables them to exchange (or swap) students each year.

QUT has exchange agreements with more than 90 partners in 25 countries around the world; programs are available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students from all Faculties.

Exchange Program Administration Details

Under the exchange program, students continue to be enrolled as a full-time student at QUT, but are regarded as studying elsewhere. Students continue to accrue the normal charges under the Fee Help Scheme, and continue to pay all QUT compulsory fees for the period of the exchange. This creates a place for a visiting exchange student from the host institution. All administrative matters associated with the application process are handled by the Exchange Officers within QUT International. See their website for details on eligibility, application procedures and scholarships: http://www.exchanges.qut.edu.au/outbound/.
